Tests Performed With UTM
The universal testing machine by Peak Technology can be used for these tests under controlled forces:
- Tensile strength test
- Compressive Strength Test
- Flexural Testing
To test the specimen, it is placed within grippers, and a controlled force is applied using an electromechanical system. The in-built sensors record the behaviour of the material under the applied load, examining how much it is displaced, in what time, etc.

- Designed with different capacities (upon user’s request) such as: 400 kN (40 tons) / 600 kN (60 tons) / 1000 kN (100 tons)
- Power Supply: 220 – 240 V / 50 – 60 Hz (110 V / 60 Hz is also available)
Technical Features
- Multiple capacities are offered based on testing requirements. Some of the general capacities are 40, 60 and 100 tons.
- Pressurized fluid or electrically driven mechanisms are used to generate force.
- Computer based controls let operators adjust the load and other parameters.
- High resolution for accurate load and displacement measurements.
- Grips for tensile tests, plates for compression tests to support the specimen.
